## Getting Started

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=2

### What is Micurato?

Micurato is your PocketGarage™—a comprehensive vehicle data solution designed to preserve and showcase everything about your vehicle. Whether you're documenting a rare classic, tracking your daily build, or organizing a growing collection, Micurato provides real-time insights, detailed analysis, and a digital garage powered by smart features—built by car lovers, for car lovers.

### How do I get started with Micurato?

Download the Micurato app from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/micurato/id6743763230) or [Google Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.micuratollc.micurato), create an account, and follow the prompts to add your vehicle information. You can then begin exploring features and insights available for your vehicle.

### Is my data secure with Micurato?

Absolutely. We implement enterprise-grade encryption and security protocols. Your personal and vehicle data are protected, and we do not share your information with third parties without your explicit permission.

### Does Micurato require additional hardware?

No additional hardware is required to use Micurato.

### Does Micurato work offline?

Currently, you need to be online to use the app. We're working on an offline version with limited capabilities for future releases.

### Are there differences between iOS and Android?

No, there are no functional differences between the iOS and Android versions of Micurato.

## Vehicle Database & Compatibility

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=3

### Which vehicles are compatible with Micurato?

Micurato supports a wide range of vehicles including classic and vintage cars with pre-17 digit VINs. We currently have nearly 100,000 Year/Make/Model/Trim combinations, including European and Japanese makes and models. Our database is updated monthly.

### Can I add a car that's not in your database?

Yes! If your vehicle isn't in our database, you can submit it through our new Vehicle Submission flow (introduced in 1.4.0). Just select "Other" for Make, Model, or Trim while adding or editing your car, and we'll prompt you to send us the details. Our team reviews submissions and adds approved vehicles to the database — then notifies you so we can update your car automatically. See the Vehicle Submissions section for full details.

### How does VIN decoding work?

Micurato decodes VINs to unlock factory data and build information. Simply enter your VIN when adding a car, and the app will attempt to identify your vehicle automatically. For VINs predating 17-digits, the information is sparse, but our upcoming Car Builder AI Agent can help.

## Managing Your Cars

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=4

### Can I use Micurato for multiple vehicles?

Yes! You can add and manage multiple vehicles within your Micurato account. This makes it perfect for families, collectors, or small businesses managing a fleet.

### How do I add a new car?

From the Home screen, tap the + button, then choose to add your car manually or use AI to scan your documents. Follow the prompts to enter vehicle information, photos, and documents.

### Can I upload documents and receipts?

Yes! You can upload maintenance records, receipts, titles, registrations, insurance documents, and more. AI can help scan and categorize documents automatically.

### What types of media can I add to my car profile?

You can upload images, videos, and documents. Supported formats include common image types (JPEG, PNG), video formats, and PDF documents.

### How do I track maintenance and service history?

From your car's page, access the 3-dot menu and select "Maintenance and Repair History." You can add service records, add a restoration, or miscellaneous mods for your car.

### Can two people own the same car in Micurato?

No. Each vehicle can only have one active owner at a time in Micurato. This ensures clear ownership and control over your vehicle's records. If you need to transfer ownership to someone else, use the Car Transfer feature (coming soon). The previous owner will retain read-only access to their historical snapshot of the car.

### What happens to my car's history if I delete my account?

Your vehicle records and history are deleted along with your account. If you want the car's history to continue in Micurato, transfer ownership to another user before deleting your account (Car Transfer feature coming soon).

### Why can't I set a maintenance date earlier than my car's model year?

Starting in 1.4.0, maintenance entry dates are validated against your car's model year — they can't be set more than one year earlier. This prevents accidental incorrect entries (e.g., logging maintenance from a year before the car was built).

### Why do my car cards look different in 1.5.0?

We've refreshed the car card design for a cleaner, more consistent look everywhere your cars appear, with smoother handling of long names and titles so nothing gets cut off awkwardly.

### What happens to my cars in a Club if I leave?

Your cars come out of the Club's Cars tab when you leave. Posts and comments you added stay, so the Club's history stays intact. Rejoining doesn't automatically put your cars back.

## Collections & Organization

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=5

### What are Collections?

Collections help you organize your cars into meaningful groups—by category (Classic, Muscle, Sports), project status, or any custom grouping you prefer.

### What are the default collections?

Micurato includes default collections: Garage (all your cars), Favorites (cars you've marked as favorites), and Community (cars shared with you by other members that you tagged for Community).

### Can I create custom collections?

Yes! You can create custom collections to organize your cars however you like.

## Sharing & Social Features

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=6

### Why can't my friends or curators see my cars?

Only you can decide who sees your cars. Check your sharing settings by going to Menu → Settings → Sharing. You must specifically share each car with the people you want to see it. Field-level visibility is also controlled by you.

### What's the difference between Friends, Curators, and Members?

- **Friends:** People you've connected with who can see cars you share specifically with them
- **Curators:** Friends you've designated to help manage specific cars
- **Members:** All Micurato users; you can share cars publicly with all members

### How do I share a car?

Open the car you want to share, tap the share icon, and select who you want to share with (specific friends, curators, or all members). You can also control which fields are visible to each group.

### How do I connect with other Micurato members?

You can send friend requests from the Search tab, scan QR codes, or accept connection requests from notifications.

### What happens to a curator's edits if I remove them?

All edits made by a curator remain in your car's records even after you remove them. Removing a curator only revokes their future access—it doesn't undo their previous contributions.

### Can my curator edit my cars if my subscription lapses?

No. If your account enters Read-Only, Expired, or Locked status due to a subscription issue, your curators cannot edit your cars. They will see a message indicating your subscription is not active and can choose to send you a notification to let you know.

## QR Codes

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=7

### How do I generate a QR code for my car?

Open your car and access the menu. Select the QR code option to generate a unique, persistent code. You can download or email the QR code for printing and sharing.

### What can people do when they scan my car's QR code?

When scanned, the QR code links to your car's profile, showing the information you've chosen to share publicly. All your visibility rules still apply—private information remains private.

## Feed & Real-Time Updates

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=8

### What appears in my Feed?

Alongside cars, your Feed now surfaces new public Clubs, new Club posts, membership milestones, and upcoming public Events. Private Clubs and private Events never appear.

### How do I interact with cars in the Feed?

You can interact with cars directly from the Feed using the long-press menu.

| Action | Icon | Description | Who Can Use |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Like | Thumbs up | Show appreciation for a car; toggle on/off | All users |
| Favorite | Star | Add/remove from your Favorites collection | All users |
| Community | Folder+ | Add/remove from your Community collection | Non-owners only |
| Skip | Eye-slash | Hide the car from your feed | Non-owners only |
| Comment | Speech bubble | Open the comment interface | All users |
| Share | Arrow | Open share options for your car | Car owner only |

## Media Tags & Privacy

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=9

### What is the "Do Not Share" tag?

The "Do Not Share" tag prevents specific photos, videos, or documents from appearing in the Feed when you share your car. It's automatically applied to sensitive documents like VIN photos, license plates, insurance, registration, and title documents.

### Can I create custom tags for my media?

Yes! You can create custom tags and apply multiple tags to any image, video, or document for better organization and privacy control. The same tag list applies to Event photos. Anything you've created for your car media is available when you upload to an Event.

## Comments

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=10

### Can I comment on cars?

Yes! You can leave comments on cars shared with you. Comments support replies (up to 2 levels), mentions (@username), emojis, and likes on comments. Comments are limited to 250 characters.

### How do I turn comments on/off for my car?

As the car owner, access the 3-dot menu on your car and select "Turn Off Comments" to disable commenting. Previous comments will be hidden but preserved if you turn them back on.

### Can I moderate comments on my cars?

Yes! Car owners can hide inappropriate comments, and all users can report comments that violate guidelines. Hidden comments remain visible only to you as the owner, with the option to unhide them later. The commenter will not know their comment was hidden.

### Can I edit or delete my comments?

Yes. You can edit your own comments for up to 24 hours after posting (with a maximum of 5 edits per 10 minutes). Edited comments will display an "Edited" label. You can delete your own comments at any time.

### Will I be notified about comment activity?

Yes! You can receive notifications when someone comments on your car, mentions you, replies to your comment, or likes your comment. Manage these settings in Menu → Settings → Notifications → Social → Comments.

### What happens to my comments if I delete my account?

Your comments remain visible on the cars where you posted them, but your username will display as "[deleted user]" and your profile picture will be replaced with a default avatar.

### Is my identity revealed if I report a comment?

No. All reports are anonymous. The person you report will never know who submitted the report.

### Can I comment on Clubs and Events?

On Clubs, only members can comment, even on public Clubs, where everyone else sees the count but not the conversation. On Events, anyone with a confirmed RSVP can comment. Mention someone with @username, and Club Admins can reach every member at once with @club, or every attendee of their Event with @event.

## DriftCoins

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=11

### What are DriftCoins?

DriftCoins are Micurato's in-app currency that can be used for premium features and services. You can earn DriftCoins through marketing campaigns and in-app activities, or purchase DriftCoin packages directly.

### How do I earn DriftCoins?

You can earn DriftCoins through Micurato marketing campaigns, promotional events, and by redeeming special codes. Keep an eye on our announcements and community channels for opportunities to earn!

### How do I purchase DriftCoins?

Go to your Profile → Packages and Payments → Pay as You Go to browse and purchase DriftCoin packages.

### Where can I see my DriftCoin balance?

Your DriftCoin balance is displayed on your Profile page. Tap on it to view your transaction history and access options to add more.

### How do I redeem a DriftCoin code?

Go to Profile → Packages and Payments and look for the option to redeem a code. Enter your code and the DriftCoins will be added to your Collected balance.

### How do promo codes work?

Promo codes are 12-character codes in XXXX-XXXX-XXXX format that can be redeemed for DriftCoins. Each code can only be used once and cannot be transferred to another user. Codes may have expiration dates, so redeem them promptly. You can redeem multiple codes to accumulate your DriftCoin balance.

### Can I use DriftCoins to pay for my subscription?

No. DriftCoins can only be used for in-app premium services like Car Builder AI and Description Builder AI. They cannot be applied toward subscription upgrades.

### Can I transfer DriftCoins to another user?

No. DriftCoins are tied to your account and cannot be transferred to other users.

### What happens to my DriftCoins if I delete my account?

All unused DriftCoins are permanently lost when you delete your account. This cannot be undone.

### What can I use DriftCoins for in Clubs and Events?

Club slots, extra storage for a Club, larger capacity for a single Event, and a longer photo upload window after an Event. Cost is shown at the point of purchase, and everything appears in History → Services.

### If I buy a Club slot, do I keep it if I change plans?

Yes. Purchased slots are permanent and sit on top of whatever your plan includes. Downgrade later and your plan's allowance drops, but your purchased slots stay. Deleting a Club frees its slot for reuse, though it doesn't refund the DriftCoins.

### Can I make a single Event bigger?

Yes. If you need more attendees than your plan's default allows, expand capacity for that Event with DriftCoins. It applies to that Event only, not permanently to your account. You can extend the photo upload window for a single Event the same way.

### Can I run more Events this month?

Yes. If a Club has used up its monthly Event allowance, you can add more with DriftCoins without upgrading your plan. Extra Events are added to that specific Club and last until the end of the month: allowances reset on the 1st, the same as your plan's. You choose which of your Clubs to top up, and you can buy more than once to stack them.

## Subscriptions & Storage

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=12

### Is Micurato free to use?

Micurato offers a Free Garage tier with core features and storage. Subscription plans provide additional storage, reduced ads, and premium features.

### What subscription plans are available?

Micurato offers tiered subscription plans including Free Garage, Rookie, Pit Crew, Pole Position, Championship, and Hall of Fame. Each tier provides increasing storage and benefits. View all options in Profile → Packages and Payments → Subscriptions.

### What happens if I reach my storage limit?

You'll receive warnings as you approach your limit at 80% (early warning) and 90% (critical warning). Once at 100%, some features like media uploads, editing cars, and adding new cars are paused until you upgrade or free up space by deleting existing media or documents. Your existing data is always safe—you're never forced into data loss.

### Can I still access my cars if I exceed my storage limit?

Yes! Your data is always safe. You can view all your cars and their information, and you can always delete existing media or documents to free up space. You just won't be able to add new content until you're back under your limit or upgrade your plan.

### What exactly is blocked when I reach 100% storage?

When you reach your storage limit, you cannot add new cars or edit existing car details. However, you can still view all your content, delete media or documents to free up space, add comments, and log maintenance records. Your data is never deleted automatically.

### Can I downgrade my subscription if I'm over the new tier's storage limit?

No. You must first delete enough content to fit within the target tier's storage limit before you can downgrade. The app will show you how much space you need to free up.

### How do I manage my subscription?

Go to Profile → Packages and Payments → Subscriptions, or access Settings → Account → Subscriptions. You can also manage your subscription through your device's App Store or Play Store settings. Micurato supports Restore Purchases if you need to recover a previous subscription.

### What happens if my payment fails?

If your subscription payment fails, your account will enter a grace period:

- **Days 0-60 (Read-Only):** You can view your cars and delete content, but cannot add new cars or edit existing ones.
- **Days 60-180 (Expired):** Access becomes more limited—only viewing and deleting content is allowed.
- **After 180 days (Locked):** You'll see a login screen with options to renew your subscription or manage your data.

Your data is never deleted—renew your subscription at any time to restore full access.

### Do I need to upgrade to use Clubs?

No. Joining Clubs is unlimited on every plan, including the Free Garage plan. You can join as many as you like, post, comment, add your cars, and take part in their Events at no cost. Your plan only affects Clubs you create and own.

### Can I create a Club on the free plan?

Not by default: Free Garage doesn't include a Club slot, but you don't have to upgrade to get one. You can buy a Club slot with DriftCoins and own a Club on any plan. Slots are permanent and stay with you if your plan changes later.

### How many Clubs can I create?

It depends on your plan, and you can add more on top with DriftCoins. Your allowance and current usage are in Profile → Usage. Only Clubs you own count toward it. Clubs where you're an Admin or a Member don't use a slot.

### Do I need to upgrade to use Events?

No. RSVPing, attending, checking in, uploading photos, and viewing recaps are free on every plan. Your plan only affects Events you host. How many you can run per Club each month, how many people can attend, and how long the upload window stays open afterward are optional upgrades but not necessary.

### What happens to my Clubs if I downgrade or cancel?

Nothing is deleted. If you'd end up with more Clubs than your new plan allows, we'll ask you to archive some before the change goes through. If the change comes via the App Store or Play Store instead, you get a grace period to choose which to archive. After that, the newest are archived automatically. Archived Clubs keep everything and can be restored whenever a slot frees up.

### Do Club and Event photos count against my storage?

No. Clubs and Events have their own separate storage pool, so nothing uploaded there eats into your personal car storage. Per-file size limits still apply.

## Account & Profile

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=13

### Why do I need to provide my birthday?

A valid date of birth (13+ years) is required for compliance with digital consent regulations. Your birthday is private—only you control if and with whom it's shared. Note: Your date of birth cannot be deleted while your account is active, only corrected if entered incorrectly. It is fully deleted if you delete your account.

### How do I change my password?

Go to Menu → Settings → Account → Change Password. Your new password must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character. You cannot reuse your 3 most recent passwords.

### What is Biometric Login?

Biometric Login allows you to log into Micurato using your device's fingerprint or face recognition instead of entering your password each time. Enable or disable this feature in Menu → Settings → Account → Biometric Login.

### Can I pause or delete my account?

Yes. You have full control over your account status through the app.

- **Pause My Account:** Need a break? You can temporarily pause your account for 1 week, 1 month, or until you decide to return. Your garage, cars, and all your data remain safe. Simply log back in when you're ready to reactivate—your account will restore exactly as you left it.
- **Delete My Account:** If you're ready to leave permanently, you can delete your account yourself. This action is permanent—all your data will be erased and cannot be recovered.

To access these options, go to Menu → Settings → Account → Privacy and Data → Manage Account Status. If you're the last Admin of a Club, you'll get a grace period to hand over admin rights before that Club is archived.

### What happens to my subscription if I pause my account?

Your subscription billing continues while your account is paused. Pausing logs you out and makes your content temporarily inaccessible, but it does not cancel your subscription. To stop billing, you must cancel your subscription separately through the App Store or Play Store.

### Can my curators access my cars while my account is paused?

No. When your account is paused, curators cannot access or edit your cars until you reactivate.

### Do I need to cancel my subscription before deleting my account?

Yes. If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it through the App Store or Play Store before you can delete your account. The app will prompt you to manage your subscription if one is active.

### Can I get my data back after deleting my account?

No. Account deletion is permanent and all your data is erased. If you need a copy of your data before deletion, contact [support@micurato.com](mailto:support@micurato.com) to request an export. Self-service data download is coming soon.

### How do I clear the app cache?

Go to Menu → Settings → Account → Privacy and Data → Clear App Cache. This clears locally cached data on your device and can help resolve performance issues.

## Search & Discovery

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=14

### How do I search for cars or members?

Use the Search tab on the Home page. You can search across All, My Cars, Friends' Cars, and Members' Cars. Use filters to narrow results by make, model, year, color, category, or collection.

### Why are my search results not showing expected cars?

Check your filters and sorting options. Also verify the sharing status of cars—you can only see cars that have been shared with you or shared publicly with all members.

### How do I find Clubs and Events near me?

Filter Clubs by distance, category, and Car Makes, then sort by nearest, most members, most active, newest, or A–Z. Events filter by date range, distance, type, capacity, and Car Makes. Both need location access for distance-based results. Without it you can still browse and filter everything else.

## Troubleshooting

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=15

### My app is slow or not loading properly. What should I do?

Try these steps:

1. Check your internet connection
2. Clear the app cache (Menu → Settings → Account → Privacy and Data → Clear App Cache)
3. Force-close and reopen the app
4. Ensure your app is updated to the latest version

If issues persist, contact support

### I'm having trouble with video playback. What can I do?

Ensure you have a stable internet connection. Try closing and reopening the video. If the issue continues, check that your app is updated to the latest version.

### My biometric login stopped working. What happened?

Occasionally, security token refreshes may require you to log in with your password again. After logging in with your password, you can re-enable biometric login in Settings → Account → Biometric Login. Your biometric preference will be remembered

## Support & Feedback

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=16

### How can I give feedback or report bugs?

You can:

- Email us at [support@micurato.com](mailto:support@micurato.com)
- Use the Contact Us form on our website
- Join our Discord community for discussions and support

### Where can I find release notes for updates?

Release notes are displayed in the app when you update and are also available on our website and app store listings.

## Vehicle Submissions

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=17

### What is the Vehicle Submission flow?

The Vehicle Submission flow lets you submit your vehicle to Micurato when it isn't in our database yet. Whenever you select "Other" for Make, Model, or Trim while adding or editing a car, we'll show you a submission form to send us the details. Once approved, the vehicle is added to the database and your car can be updated automatically.

### How do I submit a vehicle?

While adding or editing a car, select "Other" from the Make, Model, or Trim dropdown. When you tap Save, a submission form appears asking for your vehicle's Year, Make, Model, Trim, and any Additional Info (engine, country of origin, etc.). Tap Submit, and we'll review it and notify you when it's added.

### What if I don't want to submit right now?

That's fine — just tap Not Now. Your car will save with "Other" values, and we'll show the submission prompt again the next time you save changes to that car.

### What is automatic submission?

If you type a custom Trim value (instead of selecting "Other") while Make and Model are valid presets, we'll automatically send that trim to our admin team in the background. You won't see a prompt or confirmation, and your car saves normally. This helps us build a more comprehensive database without interrupting your flow. You'll be notified only if the trim is approved and added to the database.

### How long does a submission take to review?

Review times vary based on submission volume, but our team aims to respond promptly. You'll receive an in-app notification (and email, if enabled) once your submission is approved or rejected.

### What happens if my submission is approved?

You'll receive a notification with a Yes, Update action. Tapping it will automatically update your car's Year/Make/Model/Trim to the approved values — your nickname and other personal details stay the same. You can also ignore the notification and update the car manually later through Edit Car.

### What happens if my submission is rejected?

You'll receive a notification explaining the reason. There are two cases:

- **Duplicate:** Your vehicle already exists in our database. Tap Update Car in the notification to update your car automatically.
- **Other reason:** You'll see the rejection reason and any admin notes. Tap Resubmit Car to go back to your car page with the submission form already open, so you can address the feedback and submit again.

### Can I track my submission status?

Yes. While a submission is pending, your car's details page shows a "Vehicle submission pending review" indicator with the date submitted and the values you sent in. Once approved, the indicator changes to an "approved" status with an Update Car action.

### What if I change my car's Year/Make/Model/Trim while my submission is pending?

Your previous submission is marked as superseded, and a new submission is created with your latest values. You'll only be notified about the most recent active submission.

### Why are some features unavailable while my submission is pending?

A few features (like the Car Builder AI Agent) need a confirmed Year/Make/Model identity to work properly. While your vehicle has "Other" values, those features are paused. As soon as your submission is approved and your car is updated, all features unlock.

### Can I turn off submission notifications?

Yes. Go to Menu → Settings → Notifications → System → Vehicle Submission Updates. By default, in-app notifications are enabled and email is disabled.

## Account Locked & Recovery

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=18

### What does it mean if my account is "Locked"?

If your subscription payment has failed and 180 days have passed without renewal, your account enters Locked mode. You can still log in, but you'll see a gating popup with three options: Logout, Manage My Data, and Renew. Your data is never deleted — you can renew anytime to fully restore access.

### What can I do while my account is locked?

While locked, most of the app is disabled. You can still access your Profile, Settings, Help, and Legal pages. The most important option is Manage My Data, where you can review and free up storage to fit a lower tier or simply organize what you keep.

### What is "Manage My Data"?

Manage My Data is a feature in your Profile → Storage tab that gives you full visibility into the files contributing to your storage usage. The 1.4.0 release adds a new Details sub-tab that lists every photo, video, and document with its file name, label, size, and type — sorted by size (largest first) so you can quickly see what's taking up the most space.

### How do I delete files to free up storage?

In Profile → Storage → Details, tap any file to open it in a viewer with a Delete option. You can also long-press to enter selection mode and select multiple files at once — then tap the red trash icon at the top to delete them in bulk. Filter the list by All / Videos / Pictures / Documents to focus your cleanup.

### What happens when I delete a file?

Deleting a file from Manage My Data also removes it from the car it's attached to. This action is permanent and cannot be undone — we'll show a confirmation prompt before any deletion.

### Can I delete a car's cover image?

Yes, but every car must have a cover image. If you delete a cover, the next available image automatically becomes the new cover. If you try to delete the only remaining image on a car, that image is preserved and you'll see a banner: "One of your images could not be deleted as it is the only cover image for [car nickname]."

## App Updates & Release Notifications

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=19

### How will I know when a new version of Micurato is available?

Starting in 1.4.0, we'll let you know through multiple channels: a push notification, an email (if enabled), an in-app notification, and — if you open the app without updating — a Home Banner. We only send these notifications if you're actually running an older version. Once you update, all reminders stop.

### Can I turn off update notifications?

Yes. Go to Menu → Settings → Notifications → System → App Updates. By default, both in-app and email notifications are enabled because these are the primary ways we can reach you when you haven't opened the app. You can disable either one independently.

### Why am I still seeing the Home Banner after I disabled App Updates notifications?

The Home Banner is a passive in-app reminder and isn't tied to your notification settings. It only appears if you open the app while running an older version, and it disappears as soon as you update.

### I just updated, but old "Update Now" notifications are still showing. What gives?

Existing notifications stay in your notification list until you remove them, but the Update Now action is hidden once you've updated — so tapping them won't do anything. We've also fixed a bug in 1.4.0 that caused the update Now action to incorrectly persist after updating

## Performance & Loading

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=20

### Why does the app feel faster in 1.4.0?

We've rebuilt how Micurato loads data behind the scenes. In previous versions, every screen received the full set of car, collection, and user details — even when only a few fields were actually shown. In 1.4.0, each screen requests only the data it needs to display. The result is faster load times, smoother scrolling through your garage and feeds, and noticeably less cellular data usage.

### Why do my collections now load 10 cars at a time?

Collections now use pagination — loading 10 cars per page — to keep the experience fast even as your garage grows. Scroll down and the next batch loads automatically. Sorting and filtering happen on the server side, so the right cars come back instantly without your phone having to do the heavy lifting.

### Why does my sort selection persist as I move around?

If you sort a collection by Year, Price, or any other option, your selection stays active for the rest of the session as you navigate between pages and tabs. Filters still reset to default when you leave a screen (since filters are usually screen-specific), but your sort preference travels with you. Logging out or force-closing the app resets sorting back to default.

## Micurato AI Services

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=21

### What is Micurato AI Services?

Micurato AI Services is a new in-app hub that brings AI-powered tools together in one place. From here you can see which services are available, learn what each one does, and turn them on when you want them. Release 1.5.0 launches with two services — Car Builder and Description Builder — with more to come.

### How do I access AI Services?

Open any car and look for the AI Services entry point, including the floating AI icon on the Car Overview. The AI Services slider shows each available service, its status, and what it does.

### How do I activate an AI service?

Each service is activated with Driftcoin. If you have enough DriftCoin, tap Activate; if not, you'll see a Buy More option. Once active, the service runs and keeps you updated on its progress.

### Is there anything my car needs before I can use AI Services?

Some services need a confirmed Year, Make, and Model to work well. If your car still has "Other" values or a pending vehicle submission, those services stay paused until your vehicle identity is confirmed.

## Car Builder

### What is Car Builder?

Car Builder is your AI co-driver for vehicle details. It researches your car and suggests information that's missing from its profile — things like engine, drivetrain, and factory specifications — so your car's record becomes more complete over time.

### Do I have to accept everything Car Builder suggests?

No. You're always in control. Car Builder presents each suggestion for your review, and you can accept or skip it. Nothing is added to your car until you approve it.

### Why do suggestions arrive over time instead of all at once?

Car Builder releases suggestions gradually so you can review them in manageable batches rather than all at once. You'll get notifications when new suggestions are ready, along with reminders and a heads-up when the service has finished.

### What does Car Builder need to work?

Car Builder needs a confirmed Year, Make, and Model. If your car uses "Other" values or has a pending submission, Car Builder will be available again once your vehicle is confirmed.

## Description Builder

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=23

### What is Description Builder?

Description Builder uses AI to turn your vehicle's details into a polished description and excerpt — a ready-to-use story for your car, generated in seconds.

### How do I choose how my description sounds?

Before generating, pick a Writing Style and Writing Tone. Description Builder uses your choices to shape the result, so it can read the way you want — from factual and concise to rich and storytelling.

### Can I regenerate or change the result?

Yes. If the first result isn't quite right, regenerate to get a fresh version, or edit the text yourself. When you're happy, the description drops straight into your car's Description field.

### Is there anything I need before using Description Builder?

Description Builder works best when your car has enough detail to draw from. If your car's AI Score is low, you'll see a heads-up — and you can use Car Builder first to fill in the gaps for a better result.

## VIN Decoding & Classic Vehicles

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=24

### Why is VIN decoding more accurate now?

In 1.5.0 we've improved how VIN decoding identifies your exact vehicle, so it returns more accurate results and selects the right trim for you automatically — with fewer questions along the way. When more than one match is possible, you'll get a short, guided comparison instead of a long list.

### Does Micurato now support classic and older vehicles?

Yes. For the first time, VIN decoding understands classic and older vehicles, including shorter legacy VINs. If a VIN can't be fully decoded, Micurato can still identify your car using Year, Make, and Model.

### Can I still choose the trim myself?

Absolutely. If you'd prefer to pick manually, full catalog access is always available so you can set the exact trim you want.

## Media Uploads & Free Tier Storage

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=25

### Has the Free Tier (Garage) storage allowance changed?

No — your Free Tier storage stays the same. What's improved is how efficiently Micurato stores your media. With better on-device compression, your photos, videos, and documents take up less space — so you can fit more cars, images, videos, and documents in your free Garage before you ever need to upgrade.

### Why are my uploads faster now?

Micurato now compresses photos and videos on your device before uploading. Smaller files mean quicker uploads, less data used, and less of your storage consumed — while your media still looks great.

### Why does my car show a "Pending" state after I add it?

If your media is still being processed when you finish adding a car, the car appears in a Pending state on your listing until processing completes. While editing a car, the Save button stays disabled until all uploads finish, so nothing is lost mid-save.

### Is there a limit to how much I can upload at once?

Yes — you can upload up to 10 items per batch and 30 items per session.

## Home Banner

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=26

### What is the Dynamic Home Banner?

The Home Banner is a space on your home screen that surfaces what's most relevant to you right now — timely prompts, highlights, and reminders — so the moment you open Micurato, you're one tap from what matters. It updates automatically based on what's happening in your garage.

## Maintenance

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=27

### What's new in maintenance tracking?

We expanded loggable service types from 24 to more than 135, grouped into five categories — Maintenance, Repair, Mod, Cosmetic, and Admin. You can now attach photos and videos to any entry, scan multi-page receipts, tag entries your way, and filter and sort your history in more ways.

### Can I add photos or videos to a maintenance entry?

Yes. Every entry supports up to 10 photos or videos using the same Add Media flow you already use elsewhere in the app.

### How do I add a receipt to a service entry?

When you create an entry with AI, scan the receipt with your camera, photo library, or as a PDF — multi-page receipts work from all three. Scanning with AI saves the document to your Documents library automatically, or you can choose not to save it before you submit.

### What are the service categories?

Every service type belongs to one of five categories — Maintenance, Repair, Mod, Cosmetic, or Admin — plus a special Restoration type. The category is set automatically from the service type you choose and shown as a read-only badge on the entry.

### What are maintenance tags?

Tags help you organize and find entries. Micurato includes default tags like Routine, Wear & Tear, DIY, and Warranty, and you can create your own. A default tag is suggested automatically based on the service category, and you can add or remove tags before the entry locks.

### Can I edit a maintenance entry after saving?

Yes, within 24 hours of creating it. After that window the entry locks to keep your service history accurate.

### How do I find a specific service?

Use the updated filter and sort options. Sort by the date the service happened or the date it was entered, and filter by category, service type, or cost.

### Does maintenance data update my car's specs?

Where it makes sense, yes. Relevant details from a service — like oil type or tire specs — can sync to your car's specification fields so everything stays consistent.

## Micurato Clubs

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=28

### What are Micurato Clubs?

Clubs are communities inside Micurato, built around whatever brings enthusiasts together — a make, a region, a build style, a motorsport discipline, or a private circle of friends. Each Club has its own page with posts, member cars, events, and a member list. You need at least one car in your garage to create a Club; joining one is open to everyone.

### What's the difference between a public and a private Club?

Public Clubs are discoverable by every Micurato member, appear in search and the Feed, and anyone can ask to join. Private Clubs aren't discoverable at all — the only way in is an invitation from an Admin.

### How do people join my Club?

Three ways: invite them by @username, invite them from your friends list, or generate a shareable link and send it however you like. On public Clubs people can also request to join: you approve each one or turn on Auto-Accept and they join instantly. If your Club has Rules, every new member agrees to them before they're in.

### Who can manage a Club?

Every Club has one Owner and any number of Admins. Admins edit Club details, manage and invite members, create events, and moderate posts. Only the Owner can archive or delete the Club.

### Can I add my cars to a Club?

Yes. Add any of your cars from the Club's + menu and they'll appear in the Cars tab for other members. Remove them any time. If you leave the Club, your cars come out with you. Your posts and comments stay.

### What can I post in a Club?

Photos and videos, with a caption and hashtags. You can tag the cars in the shot, tag the members who were there, and link the post to one of the Club's Events. Only members can see or add to a Club's Posts tab, even on public Clubs.

### What happens if I archive a Club?

Nothing is lost. Members, cars, posts, comments, and events are all preserved. The Club just comes out of discovery and off your profile. You can restore it whenever you have a free slot. Any upcoming events are cancelled and attendees are notified.

## Micurato Events

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=29

### What are Micurato Events?

Events are meets, drives, track days, shows, and anything else a Club puts on the calendar. Club Admins create them; any Micurato member can RSVP to a public Event. Each Event has its own page with details, attendees, cars, and photos.

### What kinds of Events can I create?

Cars & coffee, drives and cruises, track days, car shows, concours, rallies, workshops, socials, and auctions, plus any custom type you create for your own Club.

### Who can create an Event?

Admins of a Club. If you're not an Admin anywhere yet, start your own Club and you'll be its Owner.

### Can people outside the Club come?

That's your call per Event, and it's independent of whether the Club itself is public or private. A public Event is open to any Micurato member, even if the hosting Club is private. A private Event is invite-only, and you can optionally give everyone in the Club access automatically.

### Will I know what the weather's doing?

For outdoor events within the week, yes. The forecast shows on the Event page and updates as the day approaches, with a warning if severe weather is expected. You'll also find one-tap directions to the venue.

## RSVP & Attendance

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=30

### Do I need a car to attend an Event?

Usually yes — you pick the car you're bringing when you RSVP, so everyone knows what's turning up. Organizers can allow spectators and passengers though, in which case you'll see an option to come without a car.

### Why can't I select one of my cars when I RSVP?

Only cars you've shared with all Members can be brought to an Event, so other attendees can see what you're driving. If a car is private or shared with only certain people, it won't appear in the list. Change its visibility from the car's page and it'll show up.

### Can I change which car I'm bringing?

Yes, any time up until the Event ends. After that it's locked in so the record of the day stays accurate.

### What happens when an Event is full?

If the organizer enabled a waitlist, you can join it and hold your place in the queue. When someone drops out, the next person in line gets first refusal with a countdown to claim the spot. Claim it and you're in; pass, or let the timer run out, and it goes to the next person while you return to the back of the queue.

### Can I leave an Event after RSVPing?

Yes. Your spot is released right away and offered to whoever's next on the waitlist. Anything you've commented stays.

## Check-In & Event Recaps

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=31

### How does check-in work?

On the day, once you're at the venue, tap Check In on the Event page. If the signal won't cooperate, an organizer can scan your car's QR code, or your own instead. Check-in opens shortly before the start and stays available through the event.

### Why does check-in matter?

It's what unlocks photo uploads and puts the Event in your Past tab. RSVPing alone doesn't, turning up does.

### Can I share photos from an Event?

Yes, if you checked in. Uploads open during the Event and stay open for a window afterward set by the organizer. You can tag the cars and the people in each shot.

### What is an Event Recap?

After the upload window closes, everything attendees shared comes together into a recap. A single gallery of the day, along with the cars that were there. Everyone who RSVP'd is notified when it goes live, and it stays in your Past tab permanently. A recap needs at least one photo from someone who checked in; cancelled events don't get one.

## Running an Event

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=32

### Can someone help me run an Event?

Yes, add co-hosts from your Club. They can edit details, manage attendees, send invites, and view insights. Cancelling the Event and expanding its capacity stay with you as the organizer.

### Can an Event run over more than one day?

Yes. Set an end date later than the start date and it becomes a multi-day Event. One check-in covers the whole thing, and the photo upload window opens after the final end time.

### What if an Event gets cancelled or rained out?

Everyone who RSVP'd or was waitlisted is notified, and the Event stays visible to them marked as cancelled. To reschedule, duplicate it into a new Event with the same details and a fresh date: Attendees RSVP again, so nobody is silently committed to a time they never agreed to.

### Can I see how my Event performed?

Yes. Organizers get insights covering attendance, engagement, and photo contributions.

## Events

On the site: https://www.micurato.com/faq?cat=33

### What is Event Insights?

If you organize an event, Insights shows you how it performed: how many people viewed the event page, how many RSVP'd, how many checked in, and how many uploaded photos afterwards. It's available to hosts and co-hosts on any event they run, and only to them, attendees don't see it.

### Why does my past event show no Insights data?

Insights is built on activity tracking that started with this release. Events that ran before it have little or no view or share data to show, though attendance figures come from your event records and will still be there. Events from 1.6.2 onward will have the full picture.
